Introducing our non-inclusive Northern Thailand Motorcycle. This is our 8 day 7 night tour. This is the 3 star tour. This is one of our high demand tours as it takes in a variety of things to do and spectacular sites as do all our tours. This one takes us on the famous 1148 which is rated as one of the top ten in the world as most fun roads to ride. We also take in the Golden Triangle and Mae Hong Son Loop. Places and sites to see are many on this adventure. We will visit Temples, local villages, mountain roads, museums, parks and so much more.

We provide the guide, bikes, riding gear, insurance, truck/van with driver and the route. This is still the same great tour as our all-inclusive tours, only you and your group are responsible for accommodations, bookings, food, petrol and any entrance fees for your selves, guide and driver. We are providing this package to make it more economical and just to offer you the costumer more options.

All our non-inclusive tour prices are final with no hidden costs. So that means no surprises. All prices are listed in our price chart below in Baht.

An example booking chart is also here for your viewing. You can mix and match any of our 3 bike options too your tour. If there are any questions please feel free to let us know. Please check out our bike insurance and what we offer. No one else offers this much insurance. You the costumers are very important to us and we want to give you piece of mind.

 

Whats included:

Insurance: Accident Third Party covering up a maximum of 10,000,000 baht per accident.

Third Party property damage covering up to a maximum of 1,000,000 baht per accident.

Personal injury insurance for driver and passenger up to a maximum of 100,000 baht each per accident.

Medical expense insurance for driver and passenger up to a maximum of 50,000 baht each.

Life insurance: 1,000,000 baht.

Rental bike damage is covered in house and all costs have been included in the price. Our prices are listed in the charts below with our three bike options. Both charts have a price listed with and without support vehicle. (We here at Chiangraibigbikerental take on the risk if you have an accident).

Bike damage, costumers are responsible for the first 12,500 baht on our 250cc to 300cc bikes and 50% of the book value for the bike if damaged beyond repair.

Bike damage, costumers are responsible for the first 25,000 baht of damage on our 500cc to 650cc bikes and 50% of the book value for the bike if damaged beyond repair.

Bike theft, costumers are responsible for 50% of the book value of the bike and equipment if stolen.

Transfer from international airport.

Bike gear is available. If you have to purchase something here. We offer a 50% buy back.

English speaking Thai tour guide registered with (TAT), Thailand Association of Tourism.

Support truck with driver to carry luggage and pillion if you choose this package. 

Bikes are equipped with luggage carrying capacity to make it more economical.

We always carry ample parts for minor repairs if the need should arise.

 

Whats not included:

Flights in and around Thailand, accommodations, meals, alcohol, petrol, adult entertainment, gifts, souvenirs, tips, gratuities and entrance fees.

Insurance is null and void if you are found to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or breaking the law. 

 

Itinerary Details: Early morning meet and greet at your accommodation in Chiang Rai. We will provide you with the tour briefing. During the briefing we will address any personal concerns and requirements. After the briefing we will have you shuttled to our shop for riding gear fitting and documentation signing.

Day 1. Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong. Km 250. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests.   

 

Taking old C.M. highway we head off to the White temple as this is a must see. After visiting the White Temple we head off through the back roads less traveled taking you through the beautiful country roads. These roads will take us through the rice fields and Thai villages. We then make our way up the mountain roads to Phu Chi Fah. The ride up the mountain is spectacular and the scenery is beautiful. After our visit to Phu Chi Fah we then make our way down the mountain to Chiang Khong. Here we meet up with the mighty Mekong to lead us into Chiang Khong.

 

Day 2. Chiang Khong to Mae Sai. Km 190. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests. 

 

After breakfast we head to Chiang Saen with the mighty Mekong at our shoulder staying right on highway 4007. We stop for a Visit in Chiang Saen. Here we will take on some history with a visit to a temple or two, a must see would be the Pagoda Wat Prathat Pra Ngao Temple high atop the mountain prior to entering Chiang Saen. We will also visit the Golden Triangle, opium museum and a boat trip on the Mekong River if time is available. From Chiang Saen we continue to Mae Sai at which point we will relax and enjoy the evening in the border town.

 

 

Day 3. Mae Sai to Tha Ton. Km 210. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests.   

 

After breakfast before heading up the mountain we will visit Wat Tham Pla where you can feed some wild monkeys. We then make our way up the mountain from Mae Sai along the border through police check points. Again traveling these mountain roads is beautiful. In route we will visit the Botanical Gardens, Doi Tung Royal Villa and of course stop in Doi Mae Salong for a taste of the teas from the Chinese tea farmers. We then make our way to Tha Ton where its time to relax.

 

 

 

Day 4. Tha Ton to Pai. Km 235. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests.   

 

After breakfast before leaving Tha Ton we will visit Wat Tha Ton a top the mountain to enjoy the view. Now we make our way on some amazing roads to Chaing Dao and a visit to the Chiang Dao cave. After our visit to Chiang Dao we head off for a visit on the twisty mountain roads to Mok Fah waterfalls. Now we are off to Pai and a visit to the Pai WWII Memorial Bridge and a visit to Tha Pai hot springs, here you can enjoy a mineral bath before we head to our hotel for a relaxing evening and to enjoy a little Pai night life.

 

 

 

Day 5. Pai to Mae Sariang. Km 270. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests.  

 

After breakfast we are back on the twisty mountain roads to visit the Lod cave where you can take a bamboo raft through. We make our way from the Lod cave to Mae Hong Son and a visit to Wat Phra That Doi Mu temple. We head off along the border of Thailand and Myanmar stopping for a visit in Khun Yuam at a WWII museum. Leaving Khun Yuam we are back on the twisty mountain roads to Mae Sariang to relax at our hotel.

 

 

 

Day 6. Mae Sariang to Chiang Mai Day 6. Km 270. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests. 

 

After breakfast we head out from Mae Sariang again on the twisty roads through the canyons and the pine forest. Making our way upward to the botanical gardens, Royal Pagodas and one of the finest water falls in Thailand, here we stop for a visit, from here we continue through the pine forest and Doi Inthanon National Park, the highest peak in Thailand at 2565 meters above sea level. Now we make our way to Chiang Mai where we will spend two nights.

 

 

Day 7. Chiang Mai to Nan. Km 340. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests. 

 

After breakfast we start heading north from Chiang Mai on some more twisty mountain roads making our way to Than Tong waterfall and Mae Kachan hot springs. We continue on to Phayao on what some say is a bikers paradise when it comes to roads. Here we visit one of the largest lakes in Northern Thailand. Heading east we make our way to Nan on the famous 1148 highway ranked as a top 10 highway for biking in the world. Once in Nan we visit a hill top temple, Wat Phra That Khon Noi and then off to our hotel for a relaxing night after a wonderful day of pure fun.

               

Day 8. Nan to Chiang Ra. Km 280. All kilometers are average and dependent on the costumers interests. 

 

After breakfast on our last day we head back to Chiang Rai via the 1148 to Chiang Kham. Our route takes us through the mountain roads, rice fields and the local villages on our final leg of the trip. Once in Chiang Rai and arrive to your hotel we can finally relax and spend the last night with maybe some long lasting new friends and memories.
